I was diagnosed in 1979 with bi-polar manic depression, post traumatic stress disorder, sleep disorder, panic and phobic disorders, eating disorders, addiction to drugs, alcohol, and pornography, high blood pressure, high triglycerides, degenerative disk disease, chronic constipation, leaky gut syndrome, candida, epididamytis and prostatitus. I came into the church in 1984.
I had seven nervous breakdowns requiring long-term psychiatric hospitalization. I was also treated with hypnosis, self-hypnosis, biofeedback, psychotherapy, drug therapies, cognitive emotive therapy, eye movement desensitization therapy and went through a number of deliverance type ministries, prayer lines with major international ministers.
In short, I tried diligently to receive healing and deliverance from the church, science, medicine and alternative health treatments. Even so, I had three more nervous breakdowns, the last being in 2000. I was free from illegal drug, alcohol and pornography addiction; however, my mind, body, and emotions were so devastated and tormented that I wanted to die.
BUT GOD….sent a Pastor after His own heart in August 1, 2000; first, by reading his book A More Excellent Way and then, in person in October of that same year.
I traveled to Pleasant Valley Church in Thomaston, GA in 2001 for extensive, comprehensive ministry in their program called “For Your Life”. God miraculously delivered me from 30 years of constant depression which to date has not returned. For the most part, God has taken care of the other diagnosed diseases through “the gifts of healing”.
Over the past five years, through the teachings that God gave Pastor Henry Wright in the book A More Excellent Way, through the “For Your Life” program, attending conferences in the DFW area, and from listening to hundreds of hours of teaching tapes God has enabled us to help hundreds of people to be made whole and free. I believe Pastor Wright is an Apostle to the body of Christ and through him God led my wife and I to get involved and actively minister to God’s kids (Ephesians 4) for the perfecting of the saints.
We began Son Rise Church and Ministries five years ago, opening our home on Saturday and Sunday to teach the principles of healing and deliverance, leading group deliverances and providing individual ministry as needed to the body of Christ.
The teachings available on this web site are how to live A More Excellent Way which is the Gospel of Christ and the power of God unto salvation, deliverance, and healing.
